Accessibility Maps

Keio University has published a series of accessibility maps that are based on universal design so that our facilities are as easy to navigate as possible for everyone who uses them.

The maps follow the principles of Color Universal Design (CUD) and rely on pictograms so that it is possible to identify necessary information based on shapes rather than colors. Entrances, exits, and slopes are marked for the benefit of wheelchair users and others who experience mobility impairments. We have also tried to condense the information whenever possible to make the images easier to read.
We hope that these resources are useful to everyone using Keio's facilities. (*These maps will be updated periodically to accommodate renovations or other developments)

Additional information:
On November 30, 2021, these maps passed the Color Universal Design (CUD) certification, which recognizes products that consider the visual needs of people using them, regardless of individual differences in color vision. This certification is given by the Color Universal Design Organization (CUDO), a non-profit organization.
